A buddy posted a review of Starcraft

which apparently is big stuff in the gaming world. I don't know myself, not a gamer, but it looks pretty cool.

Anyway, his blog is top notch if you like comics, graphic novels, and Star Wars.

Game Review: Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty - Home - Blog System is Go: "I was intrigued by the futuristic dystopia, where the Terrans are the cast-off of the main human civiilization; the marines and other frontline troops are made up of drug-altered convicts, for instance, and the workers sound like ornery rednecks. It ain't Star Trek--not by a long shot."

just because, look how young! get some Pigpen too!

Abraham and Issac

Bob wrote in Highway 61 Revisited

Oh God said to Abraham, “Kill me a son”
Abe says, “Man, you must be puttin’ me on”
God say, “No.” Abe say, “What?”
God say, “You can do what you want Abe, but
The next time you see me comin’ you better run”
Well Abe says, “Where do you want this killin’ done?”
God says, “Out on Highway 61”

And as the Grateful Dead sang

"Abraham and Issac sitting on a fence
you'd get back to work if you had any sense"

Pot Leaf Toaster

Deadheadland posted a pretty cool toaster. I like toast. I could use a toaster like this for special occasions. It could be fun.

Deadheadlandazon - Grateful Dead books, music, and STUFF Deadheads might like! - BRAND NEW ~ Marijuana ~ Cannabis ~ Pot ~ Ganja ~ Weed ~ Grass ~ 420 ~ Hemp ~ Leaf ~ TOASTERS:

"New Cannabis Leaf Toaster will toast the image of the marijuana hemp leaf on your toast and sandwiches."

someone posted a "love is fragile" comment on Facebook

She, being a teenager, had a fragile boyfriend
he said"not ours!"
she said, "um, yeah"
he got sad.

I wrote:

Love IS fragile!
that's part of the beauty of it
thats why when you find it
you gotta hold it, hang on to it,
and take care of it while you have it,
treat it like it's fragile
love is fleeting, a whisper,
a ghost of the shadow of a bird
anyone who holds it, if only for a moment
is better for it

Dark Star Palace: Jerry Garcia Tribute Night with the SF Giants

I recently discovered this Blog - Darkstar Palace. The writing is great, like below:

Dark Star Palace: Jerry Garcia Tribute Night with the SF Giants:

"Onwards to the National Anthem. Now, if you're a deadhead like those of us at Dark Star Palace, you know that the Dead have their ON nights and their NOT so on nights...and you learn to just cringe a bit before the boys jump in as you never know which way the wind is blowing that particular night. Well, the winds were blowing us all safely home this Monday night on the bay, as Phil Lesh, Bob Weir and Jeff Pehrson of Furthur just hit home run after home run on the vocal duties. Phil sang in key!! Bob didn't spit all over Phil that much! Jeff couldn't figure out if he just got beamed out of Mork-from-Ork's spaceship because how in the hell do you land this gig with these freaks anyway???"
